Layla and Majnoun
Somewhere in the Arabian Peninsula a Bedouin girl and boy – Kais and Layla – met. Their love was greater than the desert, stronger than the camel, more protective that a tent in a sand storm.
However, not all lovers have a happy story, and Layla and her beloved Kais, who was so crazy in love that everyone called him Majnoun (Crazy), have to battle tradition, their parents and even the forces of nature, in order to consummate their love.
* The show will take place on weekdays only (Tue.-Thu. December 24-26, Sun.-Mon. December 29-30)
Escape Room – Discovering the Secret of the Clocks **
In 1983 one of Israel’s great crime mysteries occurred: the great clock heist! 101 clocks, from among the world’s most valuable and rarest, were stolen from the Museum for Islamic Art. An additional series of clues has now come to light, which infer that one of the clocks is apparently concealed within the museum!
On Hanukkah the museum will turn into one big escape room, and visitors are invited to take the time to roam the museum spaces, and to solve the riddle until the lost clock is found!
** The Escape Room will take place on weekdays, during the museum’s regular opening hours, only (Tue.-Thu. December 24-26, Sun.-Mon. December 29-30).
Suitable for children aged 8 and over
