*** Update: To our great disappointment, Tamer Nafer will not be performing tonight due to personal reasons. You are all invited to celebrate with us tonight with the backgammon tournament, with the Quarter to Africa band and in a mid-eastern party with DJ Bamya. ***
The project that ebbs and flows between the western and eastern sides of the city, with a view to bringing Jews and Arabs together, around the famous wooden board, comes to the Museum for Islamic Art!
The Jerusalem Double project is an initiative of the Kulna Jerusalem NPO, established in Summer 2016, by Arab and Jewish Jerusalemites. The association aims to bring Jews and Arabs together in Jerusalem, based on a cultural platform, as well as advancing cultural events in the east of the city, and caring for the special needs of residents of the neighborhoods of east Jerusalem. The association’s vision is to generate the broadest possible cooperation with all the organizations in the city that can support and contribute to encounters between Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem.
Registration for the tournament opens at 7:30 p.m. on the evening of the event at the museum, based on free places.
