On Hanukkah, the Museum for Islamic Art will take you to faraway Persia, for a fascinating encounter with one of the most beloved characters in the stories of One Thousand and One Nights – Ali Baba!
In the show we meet Ali Baba, an innocent woodchopper who, by mistake, discovers the enchanted cave of the 40 thieves. We will also meet Ali Baba’s wife, and his greedy sister who coaxes the secret out of him, and also the cruel leader of the thieves, who takes no prisoners, and seizes Ali Baba’s brother. We will also get to know Morgiana, the clever servant girl who solves all the problems and saves Ali Baba’s family.
All the characters will be played by only two actors, in a dynamic and fun production that never stops!
